Shenzhen Changyuan New Material Co., Ltd. (abbr. as Changyuan) was established in 1986 by Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Science and Shenzhen Science and Industry Park Corporation. It is qualified as a high-tech enterprise in Shenzhen and Guangdong Province.
After restructuring in 1995, Concord Investments Co., Ltd. became Changyuan/s majority shareholder. Concord Investments Co., Ltd. was controlled by Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd. and Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. Changyuan issued 25 million new shares and was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange in December 2002.
Changyuan is primarily engaged in developing, manufacturing and distribution of heat-shrinkable material, tubes and other accessories for power, telecommunication, electronics and piping industries. Changyuan is one of the largest co***nies in China specialized in heat-shrinkable material and related accessory products. Changyuan/s products are widely distributed in the domestic market and some of which are also exported to Southeast Asia, Middle East and Europe.
